Founded in 1998 at Stanford University, Positive Coaching Alliance is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to developing “Better Athletes and Better People.” We carry out this mission through a variety of research-based programs and resources designed to develop positive skills and character attributes among young student-athletes and their parents, coaches, sports leaders, and officials. PCA-Houston’s programs aim to make youth sports a positive, character-building experience. The more young boys and girls that enjoy their athletic experience, the more likely they are to stay involved. And the longer they stay involved, the more opportunities there are for them to learn valuable skills, character attributes, and life lessons, including communication, leadership skills, focus, persistence, and respect for self and others.
Rick Anthony Athletic Foundation advocates body education and sports awareness for youth students with learning differences. RAAF provides our youth members with the tools to maintain and sustain a healthy, active, and educational lifestyle through an assortment of programs: Dream Big Center, Pretty in Sweat, and In Sweat Magazine. RAAF's mission is to make tutoring, counseling, and athletics more accessible for our youth members, making their goals easily obtainable. While also providing their families with a secure and safe support group, as we are all striving for one another to Live Bigger.
